Transformation in the Last 5 Years: Discovering a New Perspective

Over the past five years, my life has undergone a significant transformation, leading me to uncover a previously hidden side of existence. This is the tale of my personal journey and the real-life encounters that reshaped my outlook. Through these experiences, I gained a newfound understanding of life, society, and the intricacies that previously eluded me due to my naivety.

Embarking on a Journey: The starting point at JOG FALLS

The year was 2014 when my expedition commenced at Jog Falls, brimming with hope, enthusiasm, and curiosity. Upon my brother Shreyas Hosur’s recommendation, I ventured into uncharted territories and was introduced to Mr. Nitesh Patil, an Assistant Commissioner and IAS officer. Mr. Patil, also the secretary of the Jog Management Authority, envisioned the transformation of Jog Falls into a premier tourism destination, marked by safety and quality standards. Invited to contribute my ideas and expertise, this opportunity marked a new chapter in my career.

Revolutionizing Jog Falls Area

My mission was to enhance the Jog Falls area by introducing exciting water sports at Shirur Tank. Activities like kayaking, lake rafting, trekking, camping, and children’s camps aim to establish Jog Falls as a focal point for visitors. This initiative not only supported the local communities by boosting livelihoods and generating employment but also ensured visitors received top-notch services. Furthermore, my dream of creating a zipline spanning Jog Falls, offering a breathtaking view of the four waterfalls from a height of 850 feet, was a true adrenaline rush.

Embracing Change with Mr. D.P. Prakash and Sharavathy Backwaters.

In the midst of this, Destiny introduced me to Mr. D.P. Prakash, a local resident residing near Lingamakki Dam. His brother’s property by the Sharavathy backwaters revealed a stunning valley view. My association with Mr. Prakash expanded my horizons, leading me to explore hidden gems. Additionally, my friendship with Mr. D.P. Satish, a senior Editor at CNN-IBN, played a pivotal role in broadening my experiences and introducing me to various places and people.

Navigating Challenges and Pivoting

Amidst my journey at Jog Falls, challenges arose due to corruption and politics, which led me to reconsider my path. Returning to Bengaluru, an opportunity emerged at the Karnataka Eco-tourism Board, recommended by Mr. Manjunath, DCF (R). Despite my efforts, political hindrances impeded my progress once more.  Yet, I prepared a Detailed project report for 35 trekking trails to regularize and make it part of the eco-tourism board, Also I was sent to the CEVTP training program at Muthodhi forest.

Diverse Ventures: Super Park Sports and Beyond

Transitioning to a new chapter, I joined forces with a friend to establish “Super Park Sports Pvt Ltd” in Yelahanka. The experience not only enriched my understanding of civil engineering but also allowed me to explore different avenues. After realizing this wasn’t my ultimate path, I explored a move to Hubbali and contemplated starting a chat and condiments business, a long-held aspiration

A Twist of Fate: BHIVE Co-working Space Travel Club

During this transitional phase, an unexpected invitation by Mr Byjuram, a patron of Nature Admire led me to BHIVE, a co-working space on Residency Road. This encounter marked a turning point as the idea of the BHIVE travel club began to take shape. The support I received rejuvenated my purpose, prompting me to invest further and even hire an employee.

WeWork and Continued Evolution
My journey led me to WeWork, an American co-working space, following a recommendation from a friend. Unintentionally, I proposed the concept of the travel club to WeWork, which resulted in my engagement with them for office space. As I immersed myself in this dynamic environment, I found myself questioning my life’s direction, ultimately reigniting my father’s old IT business.

Guided by an Exceptional Mentor: Mr. D.P. Satish (An Inferno, Not a Monk, but a great teacher !)

During this phase, I crossed paths with Mr. D.P. Satish, who emerged as a mentor and beacon of guidance. Our friendship blossomed, and his profound impact on my life earned him the title of my “Guru Dronacharya.” His unwavering support, both financially and in terms of mentorship, propelled me forward. His sage advice and challenging teachings shaped my journey significantly.

Inspirations and Lessons Learned

Mr. Satish’s generosity and dedication to the well-being of others deeply impressed me. He consistently extended a helping hand to those around him, regardless of their success. Witnessing his noble acts inspired me to embrace progress and support others. His annual contributions to underprivileged children’s education highlighted his commitment to justice and kindness. I was privileged to share his journey, gaining insight into his knowledge, management skills, and meticulous planning.
This gave me a great experience of a long drive traveling to Sagara – Jog Falls, During the election season, I visited Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, Mangaluru and Chikkamagaluru, and many more places in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
With the introduction of his friend Mr. Ganapathi Reddy, a senior Journalist living in Sweden, on an epic road trip to Ooty, he had a great experience visiting the most untouched Elephant Corridors at Kinnakorai, which is the second-highest at Ooty. Below is the picture taken on the bridge near Shivanasamudram, where the Cauvery flows towards Barachukki in Kollegal district.

A Profound Impact

As my journey unfolded, I began to explore the world through travel and meaningful conversations. Long drives with Mr. Satish became a wellspring of knowledge as he shared historical insights and economic nuances of various places. Despite my initial financial constraints, his guidance and wisdom enriched my experiences.

A Lifelong Debt of Gratitude

Mr. Satish’s consistent encouragement and support compelled me to view life with renewed vigor. His wisdom and belief in my potential became the driving forces behind my evolution. He not only paved the way for my personal and professional growth but also helped me understand the value of empathy, generosity, and progressive thinking.

I love his library, which has more than 3,000 books. As he loves trekking, his friend Sri Dayanand Bannikal IPS  explored a few areas in and around Bengaluru. This offered me an opportunity to organize an adventure camp for the Central Range of the Karnataka State Police.

An Everlasting Presence

As I continue my journey, fueled by past hardships and newfound wisdom, Mr. Satish remains an indelible presence in my heart. His mentorship transcends the boundaries of traditional education, instilling invaluable life skills that have reshaped my perspective and aspirations. In him, I’ve found not just a guru, but a guiding light, propelling me towards excellence and success.
The moral I learned from him is “We need to accept the other person’s view also, as he has full right to express his thoughts”. He is a liberal man who has a big heart and wants justice for mankind. He is a progressive thinker, a statesman, and very knowledgeable.
